Operatives of the newly launched security outfit, Agunechemba, have allegedly uncovered 30 graves and a shrine within the premises of Udoka Golden Point Hotel and Suites, also known as ‘La Cruise Hotel,’ in Oba, Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State.
The shocking discovery was reportedly made on Saturday after a tip-off from a concerned individual. Videos captured by the operatives, now circulating widely on social media, reveal well-partitioned graves and a shrine situated within the hotel compound.
In response to the discovery, Mr. Ejimofor Opera, an aide to the Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, confirmed that the hotel has been demolished in line with the Anambra State Homeland Security Law. He shared videos of the demolition process to back his claims, describing the site as a kidnappers’ den operating under the guise of a hotel.
Reports have speculated that the hotel is owned by a native doctor, though this has not been officially confirmed.
As of the time of this report, the police authorities in Anambra State have yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident.
