Awka Capital Territory Development Authority (ACTDA), has carried out Operation Clean and Green Capital Territory by Clearing grasses and disilting drainages along the roads in Awka.
Addressing news men, the Managing Director, Mr. Ossy Onuko maintained that the activity is going to be sustained and that the exercise is to assist the relevant Authorities concerned with cleaning and clearing Anambra to ensure that Awka Capital Territory is clean.
He reiterated his decision of giving the Capital Territory, the ambience it deserves to develop into a metropolitan city.
“we want to give Awka the facelift that will make it compete favourably with any other capital in Nigeria.
“We have a five year plan of making Awka Capital Territory the first choice investment destination for any investor in South East and beyond.”
He called on residents,traders and shop owners to ensure a prompt and proper desilting of drains in front of their houses and business premises in other to make the roads last longer.
