Operatives of the Agunechemba Security Squad raided a kidnappers’ hideout located in a brothel in Akwu-Ukwu, near Oba in Idemili South Local Government Area, Anambra State, arresting two suspects and five sex workers who allegedly aided them.
The operation, enabled by a tip-off from local residents, led to the immediate demolition of the one-storey building under Anambra State’s Homeland Security Laws.
A security operative stated, “We acted on credible information about suspicious activities at the brothel, monitored the area, and apprehended the suspects. Some gang members are still at large, but efforts to track them down are ongoing.”
As of now, Anambra State police authorities have not officially confirmed the incident.
