The Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 13, Headquarters, Ukpo, Anambra State, AIG Godwin Aghaulor, has encouraged Police Officers Wives Association (POWA) to put in more efforts in nurturing their children to become responsible citizens in order to secure a better society.
This was the core charge when the Executive Members of POWA Zone 13, paid a courtesy call on him in preparation of their forth coming inaugural meeting.
He called on them to always play their roles as expected of them, to spur their spouses to do more for them in the quest to secure a bright future for young generation.
While pledging to address some of their challenges, he added that an office would be provided for them as well as other support services to enable the association function effectively.
The AIG called for a regular interaction with the association to chart the way forward and identify areas of support and encouragements.
Earlier, the Chairperson of POWA Zone 13 Headquarters, Lady Chinasa Solome Godwin, said they were on the courtesy visit to thank and intimate the AIG on the forth coming inaugural meeting of the association.
She thanked the AIG for the support and cooperation he has given the association, emphasizing the need to strengthen existing relationships.
Some of the Executive Members of the Association including,Mrs Nneka Ben-Eke and Mrs Jane Francis Obi, appreciated the AIG for assisting them, while expressing optimism for a more robust working relationship.
DCP Operation, Ozigi Umoru, DCA, Admin, Joseph Agili, DCP Zonal CID, Muhu Umar and CSP-PSO, Prince Ugochukwu Ezejiofor were present at the courtesy call which featured presentation of gifts to the AIG and other Officers.
