The Annual Amawbia Walk For Life exercise otherwise known as Ugbo-Ogiliga Walk being sponsored by the Deputy Speaker, Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon Chukwuma Okoye, has grown in numbers as more participants joined for the fourth edition of the walk.
The over 12 kilometres walk which started from Central Primary school, Agu Ogba, Amawbia through the old Enugu–Onitsha road, then to Amawbia internal roads and terminated at the starting point, featured musical performances by youths.

Speaking at the end of the exercise, the sponsor of the event, Hon Chukwuma Okoye, urged participants to see the program as a means of promoting peace and unity in the community, promising to strive towards its sustenance.
While describing the program started four years ago as his pet project for physical fitness and wellbeing of his constituents, he explained that this year’s Obizi Unity Cup for all the communities in the Constituency would be dedicated to celebrate Late Chief Chukwudi Okafor, the initiator of the competition.

Earlier, One of the Participants in the walk for life exercise, Emeka Okeke, said it was refreshing to be part of the walk and gave assurance of being a regular participant given the inherent benefit of the program.
