Hon. Akpua immediately seconded the motion. A voice vote resoundingly adopted the motion.
Earlier, former Member House of Reps, and convener of the meeting, Rt. Hon. Dozie Nwankwo, said that he convened the meeting to seek Njikọka consensus for the sake of Mr. Governor of Anambra State, Prof Chukwuma Soludo.
He explained that Njikoka is APGAland, stressing that the Local Government is poised to improve on its previous voting record to ensure that it emerges overall first in support of the Governor at the polls on November 8, 2025.
Furthermore, Hon Nwankwo explained that Soludo has acquitted himself creditably with signature projects and programmes executed across Anambra communities, and therefore deserves to be re-elected by Ndi Anambra.
In his opening remark, the Chairman Njikoka LGA, Barrister Chinedu Ọnọniba, said ” we are gathered to chart a way forward for Mr. Governor’s victory in Njikoka”
He attested that the political heavy weights present at the meeting showed that the coming election would herald a resounding victory for APGA in Njikoka.
Supporting the call for endorsement of Governor Soludo, the Deputy Vice Chairman APGA, Anambra Central, Chief Nduka Okoye said that “APGA is not shaking in Njikoka and Mr. Governor is working and therefore deserves to be supported for a second term”
Also speaking at the occasion, the APGA Chairman Njikọka, Hon Chinedu Anaekwe, called on APGA faithful to rally behind the call to support Soludo.
He also urged those who felt aggrieved with the party for whatever reason to forgive and join hands together because everything was done in the interest of the party.
He therefore called on Ndi Njikoka to rally round Soludo en masse and vote resoundingly for him during the election.
The former Local Government Chairman Njikọka, Hon. Amb. Clem Aguiyi, said that Umunri have agreed that Soludo is performing.
He noted that the plea to ndi Njikoka is not whether APGA will win but how the battle will be overwhelmingly won.
He assured that the party faithful are ready and that victory will be achieved, in the same vein, Chief George Ọzọ assured that Umuowelle have attested that Mr. Governor is doing well and that they are poised to vote for him massively.
Also giving the assurances of support of Ndi Enugwu-Ukwu, the President General of Enugwu-Ukwu Community Development Union (ECDU), Nze Patrick Nworji, promised that Enugwu-Ukwu will vote for Soludo and will come first among the communities.
Apart from the unanimous vote of confidence and endorsement of Mr. Governor, the meeting also prayed for the soul of some departed members of APGA that included Late Okey Ayika , Late Paul Anaekwe (Barbeach), as well as late former Commissioner for Information, Chief Maja Umeh.
