Anambra State Government has awarded a contract worth N640,208,219.45 for the construction of the iconic Light of the Nation Tower and Water Fountain.
The contract awarded to IMES Construction Company has a completion period of four months.
This was the outcome of the 32nd Anambra State Executive Council Meeting held on the 22nd, October, 2024 at the ANSEC Chamber, Government House, Awka.
According to the State Commissioner for Information, Dr Law Mefor, the meeting further approved and awarded contract for renovation of Urban Secondary School, Nkpor, Idemmili North LGA, to WILLEZ Construction Company at the sum of N127,954,177.43 with a completion period of five months.
We gathered that state government also awarded contract for renovation of the Rehabilitation center, Nteje, Oyi LGA as well as construction of the In-House Doctors Residential Quarters at the Okpoko General Hospital, Ogbaru LGA.
While the contract for the Rehabilitation Center awarded to Resca Services is to gulp the sum of N76,718,090.98, with a completion period of three months, that of Doctors Residential Quarters, awarded to Crystal Dove Construction Company will be executed at the sum of N43,295,290.00 and expected to be completed in three months.
