The Anambra State Joint Task Force on Demolition in conjunction with the Anambra State Joint Enforcement Team (ANJEC) has demolished perimeter fencing and some illegal structures being erected by a developer at Nkwo Nnewi Triangle in Nnewi North Local Government Area.
The Nkwo Nnewi Triangle which is located at Nnewi roundabout had been mapped out by the community and Anambra State Government to be restructured for commercial purpose.
Speaking during the exercise the Admin Officer, ANJEC, Nnewi North, Mr. Chima Uba sent a warning to all the fraudulent developers in the town to desist from encroaching into government and community properties.
He added that the task force has taken it upon itself to ensure that the liveable and prosperous homeland promised to Ndi Anambra by Gov. Chukwuma Soludo is actualized.
A resident of the area, Mr. Chukwuma Okwuchukwu advised developers to always ensure that they got approvals from the appropriate authority before erecting any structure to avoid unnecessary losing of their money and properties.
The enforcement team moved to “33”, in Oyi LGA where an unapproved gas station was built into a residential area, and the owner had ignored previous warnings to relocate.
A 5000 litres, gas cylinder and a dispenser was seized by the task force at the location. (MOI)
