The Transition Committee Chairman of Anambra West Local Government Area, Mr. Felix Ikechi says plans are underway to establish an ultra-modern General hospital in Anambra West.
Mr. Ikechi made the disclosure when he played host to the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) State Women Leader Mrs. Esther Onyekesi and her entourage who were on a familiarization tour at the Local Government’s, sub office, Umueze Anam.
According to Mr. Ikechi, the ultra-modern General hospital which has been approved by Governor Chukwuma Soludo will serve as a modern healthcare facility equipped with the latest medical technologies and staffed with well-trained professionals.
He revealed that since the creation of Anambra West it has no single General hospital but with the approval by the Governor the story will change soonest.
Mr. Ikechi praised Governor Soludo for approving the project which he said will greatly bridge the gap in healthcare accessibility, and significantly enhance the overall healthcare outcome and quality of life for the residents of Anambra West
The Anambra West Local Government Boss said that the APGA led administration in the State ably led by Governor Soludo has shown passion and commitment towards the development of the state within the short period of his administration.
He disclosed that the. Governor in the last one year has flagged off the construction of Mmiata Anam-Nzam road project which is still ongoing, reconstructed and completed an ultra modern administration block at the local council headquarters Nzam,
drilled and commissoned an Ultra modern solar powered water borehole systems at Umuoba-Aboegbu, Abiator farm camp Umuikwu Anam, Owelle, Ukwalla and Inoma Communities in the last three months, providing the communities with a reliable and sustainable source of water.
Mr. Ikechi further noted that Odekpe comprehensive healthcare center is ninety percent completed as well as Oroma Etiti Anam Healthcare center, as rural electrification of Anambra West is still on course, with Umudora, Umuikwu and Oroma Etiti Anam already energized, while that of Umuem- to Nzam would be energized this December.
He also revealed that later this month, Governor Soludo will tour Olumabanasa ward 2 Communities that include Odekpe, Allah N’ Onugwa, Ode, Odemagwu, Igbokeyi , Which no Government or Governor has ever visited since the creation of the state.
The TC Chairman thanked the APGA women Leader for the visit, describing APGA as a party that understands the yearnings of Ndi Anambra West, pledging an unalloyed support of the people of Anambra West to Governor Soludo administration and APGA.
Earlier in her speech, Mrs. Onyekesi thanked Ndi Anambra West for a warm welcome, and noted that there is no question about the resolve of the party to get Anambra State back on track.
She urged Ndi Anambra West not to engage or involve in anti-party activities, rather mobilize support for the Governor in his efforts to rebuild the State and make it rank among the best in the country, as envisioned in the Governor’s Manifesto in creating a prosperous, livable and secured smart homeland.
