The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially started selling nomination forms for the upcoming Anambra State gubernatorial election, with the total cost set at N50 million for interested candidates.
Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu, the APC National Organizing Secretary, announced the launch and revealed the election schedule, which is set for November 8, 2025. The Expression of Interest Form is priced at N10 million, while the Nomination Form costs N40 million, making the total fee N50 million. However, the party is offering some discounts for certain groups of aspirants.
Female candidates and Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) will only need to pay N10 million for the Expression of Interest Form, with the Nomination Form being waived. Aspiring youths aged 25 to 40 will benefit from a 50% discount on the Nomination Form, bringing their total cost to N30 million (N10 million for the Expression of Interest Form and N20 million for the Nomination Form).
The election timeline is as follows:
- Sale of Forms: February 10–25, 2025
- Screening of Aspirants: March 7–8, 2025
- Delegates Congress: April 2, 2025
- Primary Election: April 5, 2025
- Final Submission of Candidates: May 8–9, 2025
Delegate forms will be available for purchase at N5,000 each. Only financial members who have paid their dues for at least three months will be eligible to participate in the process.
Argungu emphasized APC’s commitment to ensuring a transparent and inclusive process, urging all members to follow the guidelines.
