The Executive Secretary, Anambra State Primary Healthcare Development Agency (ASPHCDA), Pharm Chisom Uchem has conducted a supportive supervisory visit to some selected Primary Healthcare Centres (PHCs) in the state.
The visit was geared toward monitoring activities of the PHCs, ensuring that healthcare workers were effectively delivering their services.
Among the selected health facilities visited were some of the PHCs revitalised by the Anambra State Governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo.
These includes: Nwafijah PHC in Orumba South LGA, Mgbakwu PHC in Awka North LGA, Umuawulu PHC in Awka South LGA, PHC Ogbu, Umueri in Anambra East LGA, and Comprehensive Medical Centre, Awkuzu, Oyi LGA.
The Executive Secretary during the visits urged the healthcare providers on cleanliness, and proper arrangement/labeling of drugs, others.
She congratulated a new mother who delivered of her baby at Mgbakwu PHC, educating her and other mothers present on exclusive/proper breastfeeding of their babies and importance of immunization for their children.
Some mothers present at the visit thanked Gov. Soludo for the free antenatal care and delivery services they have enjoyed in the state.
They prayed for God’s wisdom and blessings upon him as he continue to pilot the affairs of the State.
