Assembly Polls: Council Boss Commends Anambra Electorate

The Transition Committee Chairman, Njikoka Local Government Area, Mr Clems Aguiyi, has commended the electorate for supporting the All Progressive Grand Alliance during the just concluded State Assembly Elections in the state.

He attributed the success recorded by the party to the good works of the State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, since assumption of office on 17th March 2022.

The Chairman who was speaking with newsmen,also noted that APGA won majority of the Seats,beating other parties because it fielded competent candidates to emerge victorious.

Commenting on the two State Constituencies in Local Government Area,he expressed confidence that the elected members would deliver on their promises and called on the constituents to support them in their assignment.

INEC Returning Officer for the 2023 Njikoka One State Constituency Election, Dr Michael Okey Enemali, had announced that Mr. Chidiebele Nnamdi Ibemeka of APGA scored 7414 votes to defeat Johnson Chukwuemeka Nwachukwu of PDP and others.

For the 2023 Njikoka Two State Constituency Election, INEC Returning Officer, Professor Chuka Enuka, announced that  Dr. Jude Akpua, also of APGA, scored 8524 votes to defeat Labour Party candidate, Hon Humphrey Iloh Anunobi of Labour Party and others.

Appreciating Ndi Njikoka for their faith in APGA, Mr. Aguiyi assured that the best reward for the people is to continue the good work APGA government is doing in the council area.

While expressing conviction that the members-elect are competent enough to offer quality representation, the  Chairman called on them to support Governor Soludo’s developmental strides in the state through quality legislation, even as he promised to work with the members-elect to ensure that more dividends of democracy gets to the council area.

Meanwhile, the Member-elect for Njikoka One Constituency, Honourable Ibemeka, who promised transparent legislative assignment, and to give sense of belonging to everyone in his constituency, extended hand of friendship to people in other political parties, and called for support of his constituents gifted with ideas and wisdom for the development of the area.

He stated that stakeholders in his constituency, especially Chairman and Secretary of every kindred, village and town, will be part of a system through which he will be giving account of stewardship.

For his Njikoka Two Constituency counterpart, Dr. Akpua, who thanked his constituents for choosing him for the position, working with Governor Soludo will help serve his constituents and Ndi Anambra better, even as he called for support of his opponents and other constituents.
