Bet9ja Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Nigeria’s leading sports betting company, continues to make significant strides in community development. Since its launch in July 2023, the foundation has successfully implemented 206 projects across 33 states and the Federal Capital Territory, positively impacting over 65,000 Nigerians, particularly in the Southwest, South-South, and Southeast geopolitical zones. As part of its “Bigger Space, Bigger Impact” campaign, the foundation recently hosted members of the media at its new office in CashCraft Tower, Yaba, Lagos. The engagement provided firsthand insight into the foundation’s expanded operations, reaffirming its vision for deeper community engagement and sustainable impact. Executive Director Ada Cuomo emphasized the foundation’s ongoing commitment to key sectors such as education, healthcare, community infrastructure, sports development, and youth empowerment. She reiterated that each project is designed to deliver tangible value while addressing the specific needs of its host communities. Since its inception, Bet9ja Foundation has awarded 100 undergraduate scholarships, improved rural healthcare access through medical outreaches, and strengthened infrastructure by installing solar-powered streetlights and water supply systems. Its contributions to sports development include empowering grassroots tournaments and equipping national teams, such as the Nigerian Para-Powerlifting squad. Youth-focused initiatives like the Graduate Employability and Enterprise Summit and Young Executive Programme continue to provide digital and entrepreneurial training to aspiring professionals. With 110 projects in the Southwest, 28 in the South-South, and 26 in the Southeast, the foundation’s footprint demonstrates a broad commitment to uplifting communities. It has collaborated with NGOs and leveraged Agents of Change to ensure localized interventions remain sustainable. A rigorous monitoring framework ensures accountability and measurable impact. As Bet9ja Foundation aims to expand to all 36 states in the coming year, it encourages community members to submit proposals for support, reinforcing its mission to create inclusive opportunities. With its transparent processes and people-centered approach, the foundation continues to prove that meaningful change happens when purpose meets action .
