Some armed youths descended on the serene Community of Nibo pumping hot bullets into their fellow youngmen enjoying an evening hangout to conclude their New Yam Festival.
Eye witnesses to the shooting said there was no visible altercation or scuffle to suggest there was a previous dispute. Some youngmen in Lexus SUV arrived the beer parlours where people were merry-making and started to pin-pointedly shoot their targets in a typical assassination style.
Those spoken to at the scene are of the opinion that the nature of attack looked like a typical reprisal from a rival cult group.
At the time of this report a source who witnessed the carnage told Anambra Times that a total of 12 lifeless bodies with gory bullet wounds were counted as a result of the attack.
More policemen have since been deployed to Nibo.
