President Muhammadu Buhari hailed the Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Brig. Gen. Buba Marwa (rtd) for bursting and seizing about 1,855 kilograms of cocaine worth 193 billion naira at a warehouse at 6 Olukuola crescent, Solebo estate, Ikorodu, Lagos and arresting the barons too.
He expressed delight in the efforts of the Agency in discovering the warehouse and their fight to ensure the country is free from illicit drugs.
“You have demonstrated over again that I made the right decision in choosing you to lead the fight against wicked merchants of death whose aim is to endanger and cut short the future of our youth for their selfish gain. Please continue the good work,” the president said.
NDLEA, on Monday, burst into a cocaine warehouse at Ikorodu, and the drug barons arrested in connection to the drug include a Jamaican.
The drug barons are Soji Jibril, 69, an incident of Ibadan, Oyo; Emmanuel Chukwu 65, from Ekwulobia, Anambra, Wasiu Akinade, 53 from Ibadan, Oyo, Sunday Oguntelure, 53, from Okitipupa, Ondo and Kelvin Smith 42, a native of Kingston, Jamaica.
