Groups of former Ward Councilors of Awka South LGA, 2017 set and the Association of Professional Women Engineers in Nigeria (APEWN) Awka Chapter have advised the Managing Director of Awka Capital Territory Development Authority (ACTDA) to discharge his duties without fear or favour so that he would write his name in sands of time in the development of Awka Capital Territory.
The groups spoke persons, Chief Obiora Okafor and Engr. Helen ifeanyichukwu, made this remark during their solidarity visit to the Managing Director of ACTDA, Mr Ossy Onuko.
“A lot of expectations are on you and we assure you of our support.”
They expressed happiness at the spate of work which the ACTDA Boss has done within three weeks of his appointment to the office, expresseing optimism that he would do more especially in restoring sanity in Awka Capital Territory.
Responding, the ACTDA Managing Director, Mr Onuko while taking the groups through his achievements in the office within few weeks said that the government of Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, have approved the building of a pedestrian bridge at Regina Caeli junction, assuring them that he would leave no stone unturned in making Awka Capital Territory, a befitting capital.
The presentation of a letter of invitation to an award investiture by APEWN group, formed the highpoint of the visit.
