Lagos State Police has invited eight domestic workers of popular Nigeria Afrobeat star, David Adedeji Adeleke known as Davido for questioning, over the death of his three years old son, Ifeanyi.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed that the body of the boy has been deposited in the morgue.
He noted that the incident occurred on Monday night as reported by one of the domestic workers at the station.
“We are currently investigating the matter and we will release any of the eight domestic workers who are not culpable at the end of the investigations.”
Ifeanyi was the first son Davido had with his fiancee, Chioma Rowland and his birthday was celebrated recently.
This is the second time a Nigeria celebrity loses child to drowning.
