The lawmaker representing Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Hon. Chinedu Ogah, has paid the 2025 West African Examinations Council (WAEC) fees for 1,538 students in 37 secondary schools across his constituency.
Hon. Ogah, known for his commitment to educational empowerment, disclosed this while speaking to journalists on Tuesday. He stated that the registration cost him N40.5 million and reaffirmed his dedication to supporting young people in their academic pursuits.
Plans to Cover NECO and JAMB Fees for Eligible Candidates

In addition to covering WAEC fees, the lawmaker announced his plan to pay for the National Examinations Council (NECO) and Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examinations for eligible candidates in 2025.
Ogah, who operates the Hon. Chinedu Ogah Education Endowment Fund, emphasized his belief in education as a tool for development.
“My constituents have always supported me and the government’s good works. As part of my appreciation, I am committed to helping our young people access quality education because education is the key,” he said.
He also revealed plans to increase the number of scholarships for brilliant students in secondary and tertiary institutions within his constituency and other parts of Ebonyi State.

The initiative is part of Hon. Ogah’s continued effort to improve access to education and empower young people in Ebonyi State.
