Abia State’s new Head of Service, Mr Benson Ojeikere has taken over the mantle of leadership from the outgone Head of Service, Mrs Ngozi Queen Obioma.
Ojeikere who is from Edo State, was last month, appointed as the new HoS by Governor Alex Otti after he rose through the ranks in the state’s civil service
In his maiden speech after taking over, Ojeikere categorically vowed to sustain the reforms being implemented by Governor Otti in Abia State civil service even as he promised to prioritize the welfare of workers to achieve desired results.
Ojeikere further demanded loyalty from Abia State civil servants.
In her remarks, the immediate past Head of Service, Mrs Queen Obioma appreciated Governor Alex Otti for the opportunity to serve at the apex of the civil/ public service of the state.
She advised those in positions of authority not to undermine any civil servant but to see themselves as chief servants.
Mrs Obioma attributed her success to the cooperation she received from the entire Abia workforce and prayed for Ojeikere to succeed.
