The Commissioner for Education, Prof. Ngozi Chuma-Udeh has called on President Generals of Town Unions to collaborate with the present government in the fight to expunge corrupt practices in the state.
The Commissioner made this appeal while receiving an award of Eminent Personality from the Anambra State Association of Town Union (ASATU) at ASATU Hall, Government House, Awka.
Answering questions from the Press crew at the venue, Prof. Chuma-Udeh enjoined all to move with the present administration in the revolution to right the wrongs in our society.
Speaking further, she said, “The President Generals of town unions are the pillars of the state. They are the direct link between the government and the people”.
She enjoined them to go back home and hold forte to make the state great.
Earlier, the ASATU National President, Barr. Titus Akpudo in his speech described Commissioner Chuma-Udeh as a woman of great dedication, commitment, and selfless service to the state as showcased in her strong stance for excellence in the just concluded 2022 teachers’ recruitment exercise despite formidable opposition.
These principles Akpudo enunciated were the factors that culminated in her bagging the award of Eminent Personality from the association.
