The Ezinator community of Awka South Local Government Area, Anambra State has given a Chieftaincy title to the Member representing Awka South constituency II in the Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon. Chukwuma Okoye (Ozo Mkpuluobi Amawbia), in recognition of his contributions to the society and services to humanity.
The traditional ruler of Ezinator, Igwe Timothy Ezenwaka (Ochiagha 1 of Ezinator) described the legislatetor as a rare breed who has proved himself in many ways as a true and outstanding son of Obizi.
The Igwe said that the title, “Ekwueme” that was bestowed on Hon.Okoye is to appreciate him in his immense contributions and support to the people of Ezinator.
Receiving the title, Hon. Okoye expressed how highly honoured and humbled he felt; he commended the Igwe and the people of Ezinator for the honour and promised to work hard in bringing the dividends of democracy to his people.
He, then, told the people that he has finalised plans to mount street lights acrossthe streets of Ezinator, which would commence soon.
Hon. Okoye was accompanied by his Campaign Director General (DG), Hon. Innocent Ekemezie, some Awka South LGA councillors, APGA Ward Chairmen, Women leaders and Party stakeholders of the constituency.
