The recent flood disaster across some states in the federation has affected some farmlands and homes, resulting in massive displacement of people.
Notable among them was a 45-year-old farmer, Ahmed Ubale Miga from Jigawa State, who lamented that the flood has washed off all the crops he planted on his farm during the planting season.
He notes that the flood has killed hundreds of people across the state and equally displaced millions of persons from homes and means of livelihood.
“This is the worst flooding I have ever experienced in my life, even some aged people in my town also testified to that.
“I lost my house and farmland to the flood and what’s on my mind now is how to provide for my wives and 13 children,” he lamented.
Currently, Miga noted that he sleeps in a shop while his family lives with some of their neighbours.
He appealed to the state and federal governments to come to their aid.
