Anambra Constituents Extol Lawmaker Over Free Dental Services

A cross section of constituents drawn from seven communities in Awka South II State Constituency has commended Hon. Chukwuma Okoye for sponsoring a six day free dental outreach for patients with dental challenges.

The benefitting patients were drawn from Amawbia, Nise, Nibo, Umuawulu, Mbaukwu, Ezinator and Isiagu.

Speaking with Journalists, during the closing ceremony of the medical outreach, held at Afor Market Square, Isiagu, over the weekend, the constituents conveyed their gratitude to Hon. Okoye, for providing a relief to those with dental challenges and other numerous constituency projects he had done so far in the communities.

They described the program as timely and impactful especially at this period of harsh economic realities which prevented people from accessing treatment at hospitals for their health needs

The residents asserted that Okoye’s return to the State Assembly in 2023 will guarantee more key infrastructural development initiatives to not only Isiagu community but to the entire Awka South II State Constituency.

The Lawmaker, who is seeking a re-election to the State Assembly, under the platform of (APGA), appreciated the support and solidarity of the constituents, which he identified as being his motivation.

The Leader of the Medical Team, Dr. Ifeanyi Okputu, said a total of 3200 patients were treated of varied dental cases during the program.

He urged people to always go for routine dental check up, maintain high degree of dental hygiene and abstain from harmful practices that could destroy their dentition.

President General of the Isiagu community, Chief Louis Okeke, thanked the Lawmaker for the humanitarian service and called for more of such programs for the less privileged

“He is currently refurbishing all the healthcare centres in Isiagu Community.

“I assure him that the community, also under my watch would vote for him for another term in office”, he stated.

In his remark, the Traditional ruler of the community, Igwe Austin Nwankwo, also assured that the constituents would re elect Hon. Okoye to the State Assembly to consolidate on the good works he had commenced.

According to the Monarch, who was represented by his Palace Public Relations Officer (PRO), Chief Sunday Ozumba, described the program as wonderful and called for its sustainable.

Some of the patients treated includind Hon. Chika Nwoye, Evangelist Chinelu Okoli, Pa Alexander Okeke and Mrs. Cathrine Nwankwo, commended the Lawmaker for sponsoring the life saving medical outreach and prayed for God’s blessings for touching them at the point of their need.
