President Bola Tinubu has appointed seven new ministers to his cabinet, as announced in a statement following the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting on Wednesday.
Bianca Odinaka Odumegu-Ojukwu will serve as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, while Jumoke Oduwole has been assigned to the Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Investment. Nentawe Yilwatda replaces the suspended Betta Edu as Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction. Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi takes on the role of Minister of Labour and Employment.
Idi Mukhtar Maiha has been appointed Minister of Livestock Development, and Yusuf Abdullahi Ata is the new Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development. Suwaiba Said Ahmad has been named Minister of State for Education.
Additionally, Shehu Dikko will serve as the Chairman of the National Sports Commission (NSC), which now assumes the responsibilities of the recently dissolved Ministry of Sports Development. Sunday Dare, the former Minister of Sports under the Muhammadu Buhari administration, has been appointed Special Adviser to the President on Public Communication and Orientation, operating from the Ministry of Information and National Orientation.
