Senator Orji Kalu recently revealed his monthly earnings, stating that he receives 14 million naira as a senator. This amount covers various expenses, including his salary, office running costs, and staff salaries.
In a video shared by Channels TV, Kalu discussed the difficulties of managing these funds. He explained that the 14 million naira must cover expenses such as fuel, travel to his constituency, and maintaining his constituency office. Additionally, he emphasized the importance of spending time in his constituency, which adds to his financial responsibilities.
Kalu expressed, “I earn 14 million naira a month for everything: my salary, overhead, and staff salaries. To be honest, I have to buy fuel from this money, travel to my constituency, maintain the office, and spend time there. It’s just not enough.”
