Kelvin Freeman’s Post:
“From approving gay marriage to approving gay priests. I am sure the Roman Catholic Bishops of Nigeria will distance themselves from this, even though some Nigerians whose fathers founded the Vatican will still defend it😁😁😁😁 and claim that Peter, the Apostle, was the first pope and that the Roman Catholic Church was the first Church, just like we were brainwashed to believe that Mungo Park discovered the Orimiri God gave us.
Were these approvals the teachings of Jesus or the footprints the Apostles left on the sands of time as contained in the Holy Bible, even as we recite the Apostles’ Creed? Over.
Non-believers will see all this and begin to question the sincerity and purity of Christianity. For me, Jesus remains my light and model for the Christian life.
I am still an unrepentant Catholic, mind you.”
Val’s Initial Reply:
“I just saw this news now—gay priests? How true and possible is it? Could the poster kindly provide evidence for what they have just posted?”
Kelvin Freeman’s Reply:
“Val, stop that pretence. Google it. You are too mature to be playing to the gallery. This is something that happened about 7 days ago, and you are claiming not to be aware. Okenye adi agwozi kwa ofe. 😁😁😁 Ututu oma.”
Val’s Response:
“How can a responsible media practitioner publish such news without providing any evidence to support it? The irony is even more amusing—he expects me to search for the evidence to substantiate his own publication. Is this not utterly absurd?”
Val’s Comment:
For failing to provide evidence for his publication, we hereby enrol Mr. Kelvin Freeman among those seemingly responsible-looking gentlemen who take delight in peddling irresponsible journalism.
How can someone publish unverified nonsense simply because it concerns an institution they dislike? Even when the true position has been widely published, he clings to the ones that align with his selective bias.
Whenever he goes on his anti-Catholic tirades, he conveniently poses as a Catholic, which he clearly is not. I have followed him long enough to know that he knows nothing about the Church, yet he is deluded into believing that he knows it all. In him, I often see the tendencies of those planning to establish their own churches. For such individuals, they aim to create the impression that the Church is a place where anything goes. If he cannot understand simple declarations from the Vatican, how could he possibly grasp the profound mysteries surrounding the Catholic Church?
Let us embrace responsible journalism at all times. For those following me, you would recall that when this news first broke, I refrained from making any comments until I had reviewed the full context of the publication. Shortly thereafter, the entire publication surfaced, revealing how bloggers like Freeman misrepresented the facts for various reasons. Some did it to generate traffic; others did so to perpetuate the mischief they are known for.

Concerning the foundation and guidelines for seminaries, much of the groundwork was laid by the Council of Trent. Subsequently, the Congregation for the Clergy has been responsible for issuing updated guidelines for seminaries. The most recent guideline is the “Ratio Fundamentalis Institutionis Sacerdotalis” (The Gift of the Priestly Vocation), promulgated on 8 December 2016. This document outlines the universal norms for priestly formation, covering seminary education, spirituality, human development, and pastoral training.
While the episcopal conferences of each country are permitted to adapt these guidelines to suit local conditions, fundamental principles – such as the Church’s teachings on ordination – cannot be altered not even by the Pope, such as ordaining gays or women. Please let Freeman be guided.
Let us uphold the standards of responsible journalism and ensure our words are rooted in truth and clarity.
