Peter Obi apparently see the CUP as HALF EMPTY rather than HALF FULL
The reality on the ground is obviously not as bleak as he has painted it
While we must not let down our guard against The Terrorists in the North East, the situation on ground will seem to suggest that we have long gone past the PDP years when we had to postpone the presidential election to ward off The Terrorists who were in defacto and dejure control of a large swathe of the north east.
Lest we forget, the 8 years of PO rule in Anambra State had nothing to commend his administration for, other “his stinginess with state resources”
He didn’t grow the state’s GDP ( his successor Obiano confirmed this)
Security in Anambra was in dire state, so much that local Vigilantes ( boys O’ye) had to take it upon themselves to secure the State, under PO’s watch
Facts on ground indicate that there was no meaningful development ie provision of any form of critical infrastructure in his 8 years rule in Anambra.
He has been rightly described by his Excellency Chukwuma Soludo as having A TRADER’S MENTALITY!
He positions like the OPPOSITION to the government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu; but he is in a better position to know that opposition is an anathema in the presidential system that we run.
His Minders should rather help him to navigate the quandary of A credible Platform to run on in the 2027 elections; seeing that he may not be able to fit into PDP anymore, while he has never been A bonafide member of ELUPEE!
