Liverpool will face the fourteen-time winners Real Madrid again for the fourth time in six seasons in the Champions League last 16 draws.
They were drawn with holders Real Madrid last season and were beaten by them 1-0 in the final in Paris, thanks to a goal from Vinicius Junior in the 59th minute.
On the other hand, the Premier League champion, Manchester City will face German side, RB Leipzig while Tottenham will play the Italian giants, AC Milan.
Chelsea also has a German opposition in Borussia Dortmund then the French champion Paris St-Germain was drawn with Bayern Munich.
The last 16 first legs will take place on 14-15 and 21-22 February, with the second legs on 7-8 and 14-15 March next year.
