The Anambra State Ministry of Youth Development has selected support volunteer staff from the 21 Local Government Areas (LGAs) to work with the desk officers of the state government on ‘one youth two skills’ project.
Sensitizing the selected volunteers at the ministry’s Conference Hall, the Commissioner for Youth Development, Mr. Patrick Agha Mba said that the volunteer staff would work with the desk officers in the 21 LGAs to ensure the successful implementation of the empowerment program.
Mr. Agha Mba further said that the ministry is compiling another set of youth beneficiaries of the government empowerment program for deployment to master trainers, urging the volunteers to brace up to the challenges for full realization of the government objectives.
He made it clear that the Ministry of Youth Development is pursuing the youth development program with vigour, adding that messages would be despatched to the master trainers and trainees from the ministry.
In her remarks, the State Director of Youth development, Mrs. Chito Osili congratulated the selected volunteer staff and advised them to work conscientiously in order to actualize the project.
In his contribution, the Chairman, National Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (NASME), Mr Chinemerem Oguegbe called on the volunteer staff to always give feedback to the ministry while on assignment as they are part of the ministry.
