NATIONAL HONOURS AWARD: Anambra PASAN Congratulates Awardees From Anambra

The Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria(PASAN), Anambra State chapter has congratulated the awardees from Anambra State.

In a goodwill message signed and released by the Association’s Public Relations Officer(PRO), Comrade Michael Ebere Osakwe on behalf of PASAN EXCO and staff of Anambra State House of Assembly, wished the awardees more years of valuable service to the country.

According to PASAN, we felicitate with sons and daughters of Anambra state who were conferred with National Honours Awards by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR.

The Nigerian National Honours Awards are a set of orders and decorations conferred upon Nigerians and friends of Nigeria for their contributions to the development of the nation.

It described the awardees as illustrious, exemplary and most valuable sons and daughters of the state who have distinguished themselves in various fields of human endeavour.

It however, urged the awardees to see the honours as a motivation to make greater contribution towards the growth of the nation.

Among the 447 awardees, no fewer than 26 persons hail from Anambra state. They include, Dr. Allen Onyema, Igwe Prof Laz Edward Ekwueme, Engr (Dr) Chukwuemeka Okwuosa, Chief Dr. Innocent Chukwuma, Chief Chidi Anyaegbu, Prof. Benedict Okechukwu Oramah who were decorated with the Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON).

Also in the list were Prof. Obiora Okonkwo, Dr. Ernest Azudialu-Obiejesi, Chief Nnaemeka Ngige, Chief Dr.Alexander Chika Okafor who were honoured with the Order of the Federal Republic (OFR).

Among the Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON) awardees were Chief Charles Odunukwe, Chief Sir James Uzochukwu Uduji, HRH Igwe Prof Onuora Nwuneli, Sir Daniel Nwanneka Chukwudozie CEO, Dr. Adaora Umeoji and Ichie Nnaeto Orazulike.

Recipients of the Member of the Federal Republic (MFR) awards include, Mrs. Comfort Nwobu, Late DIG Joseph O. Egbunike, Chief Dr. Ngozi Okafor, High Chief Emeka Chukwuma and Prof Ferdinand A. Ofodile.

Others were, Victor Nkemjika Nwokeji, Ejezie E. Rollas, HRH Igwe Dr. Oranu Chris Chidume, Princess Onyinye Uwaechia and Prof Bonn Obikwe Godwin Nwanolue who bagged the Member of the Order of the Niger (MON) awards.
