Nigerian Professor, Marinus Iwuchukwu Dies In A Murder-Suicide Case In The US

Allegheny County Police has confirmed the death of one Marinus Iwuchukwu, a 59-year-old Nigerian Associate Professor of Theology at Duquesne University, United States of America (USA), who was involved in a murder-suicide case on January 17, 2023, at around 9:53 am.

The police noted that they received a call from a person they identify as a third party, who called them to check on the well-being of a couple engaged in domestic violence inside their home at Thorncrest Drive, Wilkins Township.

They stated that when they entered the house, they find one 59-year-old adult male and one 50-year-old adult female deceased. Both the man and the woman look like they have cuttings on their bodies and the woman appears as she shot herself.The woman was identified as one Charce Dunn.

On her part, Dr. Kristine L. Blair, Dean of McAnulty College and Graduate School of Libera Arts, Duquesne University wrote; “with profound sadness, I share the news of the death of Dr. Marines Iwuchukwu, Associate Professor of Theology…and a former chairman of this department.

” Professor Iwuchukwu is an internationally recognized expert on Interreligious dialogue and inclusive religious pluralism,” she added.

Dr. Iwuchukwu also taught at the Federal College of Education in Kano State, Nigeria for 12 years before relocating to the US.
