Members of the Anambra State Information Chapel have been advised to be dedicated to their duties for optimal productivity and for the development of the state.
The Chairman Anambra State Chapter of Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), Dr. Odogwu Emeka Odogwu gave the advice during the election of new executive members of the State Information Chapel.
He cautioned them against indulging in any form of corrupt practices in the discharge of their duties and also to identify with hard work. He said, “sincerity and honesty are the secret of success in any endeavour particularly journalism, hard work, and sincerity should be held unto while we inform the public.”
Dr. Odogwu commended the State Information Chapel for rejoining the Union as he became the State NUJ Chairman; he charged the new executive to carry everyone along as it progresses.
The election which was held at the Ministry of Information, Action Centre witnessed the emergence of Dr. Stanley Onunkwor as the Chairman and Ifeyinwa Ogwo as the Deputy Chairman.
Others are Mr. Anthony Obiadi, Secretary; Mr. Chris Chikelue as the Financial Secretary; Mrs. Chinelo Okeke, Treasurer, and Mrs. Bernadette Nwakile as the Auditor.
In his address after the election, the newly elected chairman Dr. Onunkwor who is on his second tenure promised to take the Chapel to greater heights.
