Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi has released his campaign manifesto titled; “It is Possible: our Pact with Nigerians,” through his Twitter handle early today.
He noted that the 72-pages manifesto is a visionary policy plans, layout mission, focus and mandate for securing, uniting and making Nigeria productive.
The items in the manifesto are; To secure Nigeria, end banditry and insurgency and unite the nation to manage diversity; Shift emphasis from consumption to production by running a production-centered economy driven by agrarian revolution and export-oriented industrialization; Restructure polity through effective legal and institutional reforms to entrench the rule of law, aggressively fight corruption, reduce the cost of governance and establish honest and efficient civil service.
Others are; Elevate Nigeria into the 4th Industrial Revolution Scientific and Technological innovations (4IR) to create one digital economy; Build an expansive and world-class infrastructure for efficient power supply, rail, road and air transportation, and pipeline network through integrated public-private partnership and entrepreneurial public sector governance.
Enhance the human capital of Nigerian youth for productivity and global competitiveness through investment in world-class scholarship and research, quality healthcare and entrepreneurship education; Conduct afro-centric diplomacy to protect the rights of Nigerian citizens abroad and advance the economic interests of Nigerians and Nigerian businesses.
