Nigeria’s Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has been confirmed the World Trade Organization (WTO) Director General for a second term.
This was announced during a special General Council meeting at GENEVA, on Friday, November 29 involving member states where approval was given for her leadership renewal.
The second four-year term will kick off on September 1, 2025.
She initially took office in March 2021, making history as both the first African and the first woman to lead the WTO.
