Arrangements have almost been concluded by the Alumni Association of Union Secondary School, Awkunanaw, Enugu, class of 1990, to hold her maiden conference.
The event tagged UNISOBA 2025:”34 Years Reunion” is slated to hold on Saturday,4th January,2025 at Universal Hotels, Independence Layout, Enugu.
According to the President of the Association, Mr Kenneth Ndibe, the Conference will serve as an avenue for them to come together with their families, interact and rub minds together on how to positively affect one another’s life.
He added that they intend to break the jinx of 34 years of lack of such activity, expressing the hope that when the gains from the event will be harnessed properly, the alumni group will have the sky as its limits.
Reflecting on their 34 years of collective history, the President assured of their commitment to achieving a more promising future, even as the gathering will serve as an evidence of their enduring spirit.
On his part,the Chairman of the Organising Committee, Mr Chibuike Ezenwukwa, said it will also serve as an opportunity to plan to give back to the school, brainstorm and chart the way forward.
While describing the contributions of its members towards the upcoming event as encouraging, he urged all members and other stakeholders to turn out en masse to grace the occasion, noting that such activity will henceforth be a regular one.
