The Orumba South Transition Committee Chairman (TCC), Prince S. N. Uchendu has admonished youths in the local government to shun any form of criminality.
The Chairman gave the admonition when he received in audience the ASATU Youth Leader for Orumba South, Mr. Francis Nwosu in his office at Umunze.
According to the Chairman, the Youth Leaders should avoid being lured by hoodlums occupying some of our bushes where they orchestrate most of the heinous crimes against our people.
He frowned at the manner of which some Youths easily fall prey to the bait set by those daredevils who were hell-bent on extorting our people through kidnapping and other forms of criminalities.
Consequently, Mr. Chairman, charged the Youth Leaders to brace up with ensuring that youths in the various Communities of Orumba South distanced themselves from those hoodlums, and assist the law enforcement agencies in fishing out those miscreants from their hideouts.
Responding, the Youth Leader, Mr. Nwosu said that the group came to congratulate the Chairman on his new appointment as the TCC, Orumba South and to familiarize him.
He assured the Chairman that the youths would adhere strictly to all his advice and affirmed that they – the Youths – were also part of security apparatus in all the various Communities.
He added that they would always work in synergy with all the security operatives in their locality. (MOI)
