Philanthropist Seeks Political Power to Liberate Less Privileged

By Chukwuka Ugokwe :
Ahead of the 2023 General Elections, Anambra State Born Philanthropist, Chief Chinedu Umeadi has identified lack of effective representation and purposeful driven leadership as some of the factors besetting downtrodden masses.
He reasoned that the present socio-economic woes plaquing the society could be attributed to misrepresentation of the people largely by over recycled politicians who had nothing to offer.
The Medical Expert who is the Candidate of Young Progressive Party (YPP) for Anambra Central Senatorial District, told journalists in a news conference that if elected into office, he would salvage his constituents from poor representation.
While drawing reference from success stories recorded by his Educational and Youth Empowerment Foundation, he added that he ventured into politics to further touch lives and provide succour to the hopeless.
He revealed that over the years his Foundation had offered scholarships, educational support services as well as various empowerment programmes to indigent people to ameliorate their plight.
The Senatorial Hopeful, who affirmed his support for emergence of a President of Igbo extraction in the nation, added that competence, capacity and capability must be given serious consideration in choice of leadership.
He, then, threw his support for Mr Peter Obi’s quest, but quickly pointed out that his campaign organisation would enlighten the electorate on voting pattern before the poll to pave way for his senatorial victory.
