Lagos State Police Command has arrested a 37-year-old man, Ikechukwu Ogbonna popularly known as IVD who is an auto dealer in Lagos over the death of his wife, Bimbo Martins.
The arrest according to the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Benjamin Hundeyin was carried out to necessitate a proper investigation of the case to ascertain if it is a homicide case.
He noted that the suspect is currently in the custody of the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) at Panti, Yaba.
Hundeyin emphasized that the outcome of the investigation will determine if the case will be charged to court.
Bimbo Martins, the wife of IVD and a mother of five, reportedly died from the fire injuries she sustained after one of her fights with her husband at their home in Megamound Estate, Lekki, Lagos State.
