Great hope awaits Nigerians in 2023 as a Port Harcourt based-Italian company, TecnimontSpa, has recorded one million man-hour without a Lost Time Injury (LTI).
Anambra Times gathered that the refinery will begin production in the first quarter of 2023 with 60,000 barrel per day.
The company which is charged with the rehabilitation of Port Harcourt refinery will subsequently produce 210,000 bpd in the last quarter of 2024 to complete the renovation.
The Federal Government under President Buhari had paid and processed $332 million to Tecnimont for timely completion, with $194 million disbursed already while $98 million and N17.2 billion processed.
It learnt that the refinery will be almost as good as a greenfield plant with all the new fittings.
