Anambra State is set to host the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, on a historic state visit scheduled for Thursday, May 8, 2025.
According to the State Commissioner for Information, Dr. Law Mefor, the visit is aimed at commissioning select legacy projects executed under the administration of Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo CFR, fondly known as the “Solution Governor.”
“This visit will spotlight the significant strides Anambra has made under Governor Soludo’s leadership,” Dr. Mefor said in an official statement. “We are delighted to welcome Mr. President to witness firsthand the transformation currently underway in our dear state.”
While the full itinerary of the visit remains under wraps, government sources confirm that several infrastructure and urban renewal projects across key sectors will be unveiled during the presidential tour.
In anticipation of the high-level event, the state government has alerted residents of potential adjustments to traffic flow and commuter routes. Citizens are urged to cooperate fully with security agencies and relevant authorities to ensure a smooth and secure environment for the President’s entourage.
“We ask Ndi Anambra for their understanding and cooperation,” Dr. Mefor added. “This is a momentous occasion for the state, and with everyone’s support, we can ensure it is a hitch-free and memorable visit.”
The government reiterated its commitment to offering President Tinubu and his delegation a warm and hospitable reception that reflects the Anambra spirit of unity, excellence, and progress.
