Assistant Inspector General of Police, Chris Ezike (rdt), has bagged Community Development Service Award in recognition of his contributions to the development of his community and by extension Orumba South LGA and Anambra State in general.
The award was presented to him at Awka on the maiden occasion of the Anambra State Local Government Service Week, 2024.
Presenting the award, the Chairman Anambra State Local Government Service Commission, Awka, Vin. Ezeaka (Esq) said that the award was initiated to honour and recognize remarkable individuals, groups and institutions whose actions have greatly impacted the state positively, helped shape their immediate society and continued to inspire others.
He commended AIG Chris Ezike (rtd) for all the positive impacts he has made in the entire Anambra State in the areas of philanthropy, empowering indigent people, promoting social values, supporting human capital development, community development and far-reaching contributions to the progress of the state.
He urged him to continue the good work and not to rest on his oars.
Responding, the retired AIG, Chris Ezike who was represented in the occasion by the President General of Ogboji Town Union, Prince Marcelinus Emechebe expressed joy with the recognition and appreciated the organisers for the honour bestowed on one of the illustrious sons of Ogboji.
The event was attended by traditional rulers, members of the commission, and some top government functionaries.
