The time has come for a man who understands the plight of the ordinary Ndi Anambra to represent them in the highest legislative chamber in the country. That man is Sir Jude Okechukwu Emecheta PhD.
A dyed-in-the-wool member of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and pioneer convener of a political Support Group before it became fashionable in our political landscape, Dr Emecheta is eminently qualified to be presented as a candidate for the red Chamber.
He has variously posited that insecurity has severely hindered the further realisation of our people’s economic potentials and happiness. For him, this hydra-headed monster must be conclusively decapitated for his people to enjoy their hard-earned prosperity.
Dr Emecheta Frpa, holds a HND in Mass Communications, IMT Enugu, PGD Public Administration, Enugu Sate University of Science and Technology, Enugu, MSc Human Resources Management, ESUT, Enugu, PhD Human Resources Management, ESUT, Enugu.
He is a fellow of the Advertising Profession in Nigeria, and an Associate member of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations.
Jude Emecheta PhD is currently a Senior Special Assistant, Administration, to the Governor of Anambra State, Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo CFR.
His work experience and on-the-job trainings cuts across some of the best private sector organisations in the country. He was exposed to the management training of the worldwide acclaimed Sheraton/ITT Management as Supervisor in the front office management. He joined Prof Pat Utomi’s Patike Communications Ltd, a foremost Public Relations firm as an Associate Director that serviced so many high profile Nigerians, including a Vice President and World Bank in Nigeria.
He represented Patike as a member of the first committee to develop a policy on tourism in Nigeria. He later joined Sunrise Advertising Ltd as the Managing Director.
Having reached the apogee of employment he midwifed Macclemm Marketing Communications Ltd in Lagos as the Chief Executive Officer. The firm managed the political and social reputations of Senator Annie Okonkwo (Agunechemba) in collaboration with the current Chief of Staff to the Senate President. The firm also managed Dr Edwin Onwudiwe’s and Adamu Ciroma’s political reputations as well as worked closely with Shehu Garba, former SSA to President Buhari in managing the reputation of some highly placed politicians serving in this current federal government.
Dr Emecheta was once the Senior Special Assistant to PDP Chairman in Anambra State, now Special Adviser to Governor Soludo on Security.
He was a member of APF as instituted by Sir Emeka Offor, a great son of Anambra State who fights for justice and the rights of the common man.
His sojourn in Public Relations exposed him to management of events for blue chip companies .
Dr Jude Emecheta served as the Managing Director of the Anambra state Signage and Advertisement Agency for 8 years and was involved in the management of Government events including independence anniversaries and political rallies.
Dr Emecheta has attended so many workshops and seminars on marketing, advertising, human capital development and conflict management.
Sir Emecheta started “Willie Obiano Support Group”, and was also the National Chairman of the Anambra Demands Soludo, now Anambra Deserves Soludo one of the 3 leading Support groups who mobilised support for Prof C. C. Soludo’s emergence as the current Governor of Anambra State.
His wide exposure influenced his PhD dissertation, “EFFECT OF EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE ON TRANSFORMATIONAL LEADERSHIP.” He admits that this has been a natural guide for him.
He has massive supporters across all the political divides and coordinators across Anambra State and Anambra South in particular. He has the political pedigree to contest and win Anambra South Senatorial seat that is vacant due to the unfortunate demise of Senator Ifeanyi Uba (may his soul rest in peace) who he respects and admires. He has also vowed to continue the onslaught on insecurity from where Senator Uba stopped. He believes that is the only way the enterprising people of Anambra South and indeed the entire Anambra State can go about their normal businesses without fear of molestation.
He disclosed that he will deploy the power of technology, in collaboration with the State Government, to deal a decisive blow on the issue of insecurity in Anambra State.
Corporate organisations do well because they recruit the best. Our people can equally get quality representation if they recruit the best, Dr Emecheta argues.
