The Manager of the College, Reverend Father Malachy Maduewesi in a press statement in Awka dedicated the victory to Governor Chukwuma Soludo and the Catholic Bishop of Awka diocese Most Reverend Dr. Paulinus Ezeokafor.
According to Father Maduewesi, the duo have demonstrated uncommon passion for education and the empowerment of children and the youth who are the leaders of tomorrow.
He noted that the college worked very hard to clinch the trophy and extended his warm regards to the teaching crew and the students who made the school proud, expecting them to keep the flag of success flying.
The school manager used the forum to appreciate Governor Soludo for his free education policy from the nursery school cadre to SS3 cadre, and his approval for the payment of seventy thousand naira minimum wage for workers in the state, expecting that the minimum wage be raised given the harsh economic realities in the country.
On the forth coming world teachers day celebration slated for the 5th of October every year, Father Maduewesi urged the citizenry to appreciate teachers for choosing the noble profession which he described as a vocation.
According to him, teachers should persevere in carrying out their sacred and sacrificial tasks of moulding the character of the future leaders of tomorrow.
