The Anambra State House of Assembly has confirmed the appointment of Five Commissioner nominees to run the affairs of the State Civil Service Commission as the constitution demands.
The members are Chief Anthony Ezenwaka- Chairman, Barrister Chuma Uwolloh- Member, Mrs. Margaret Udealor-Member, Mrs. Philomena Okoli and Dr. Luke Ogbaka-members.
Speaking after their confirmation, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly Right Honourable Somtochukwu Udeze who presided over the plenary session, charged the members to be committed to their duty with a view towards ensuring that the welfare of civil servants are Paramount.
Right Honourable Udeze further enjoined them to work in synergy with the state assembly to ensure a robust and resourceful civil service.
The Speaker expressed his confidence that the civil service team will deliver on their mandate.
In a speech after their confirmation, the Chairman of the Commission Chief Ezenwaka promised to work assiduously towards ensuring the welfare of civil servants and workers in the state.
Chief Ezenwaka further promised that the commission will work in tandem with the state assembly to deliver on their mandate.
In their separate remarks, some other members of the commission Mrs. Udealor, Mrs Okoli and Barrister Uwolloh pledged their commitment towards ensuring the welfare of workers in the state.
