About 700 students have matriculated at the 18th matriculation ceremony of the Tansian University, Umunya, Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra State.
The 2024/2025 ceremony for fresh undergraduate students of the university marked the formal admission of students into the university.
As usual, the ceremony commenced with a Mass followed by a procession, while it climaxed with the administration of oath of allegiance on the new students.
Congratulating the new students, the Vice Chancellor, Prof Eugene Nwadialor, admonished the students to be of good behaviour, shun negative indulgences and take their studies seriously for them to be successful.

“I encourage you to strive to stand out always as the best in whichever positive activity you engage in, challenge yourselves to succeed and make yourselves, your parents and the university proud”
He warned that hard drugs and cultism of any sort are forbidden in the school, adding that “any student identified with such illegal associations or groups Will automatically be expelled from the university”
The Vice Chancellor, then, appealed for support to enable the university actualize its lofty dreams.”We therefore solicit that our stakeholders don’t shy away from this clarion call, but to identify with the university through your kind donations and support”
Some of the newly admitted students expressed excitement at finally being admitted into Tansian University, assuring that they will make their parents and the university proud.
On his part, a parent who witnessed the ceremony, Mr Emeka Nnorum, commended the academic standard of the school and disclosed that he encouraged his child to study in the school because the institution churns out morally and academic sound graduates who are excelling in all spheres of life.
The event arena of the institution was filled with students, staff, management, friends ànd family members of the matriculants.
