The Transition Committee Chairman, Anambra West Local Government Area (LGA), Mr. Felix Ikechi says no meaningful development can be made in a hostile and disruptive environment, seeks support from Anambra West youths and elders.
The Chairman made this assertion while addressing youths and elders of Odekpe and Igbedor communities of Anambra West LGA, emphasizing that a peaceful atmosphere will attract accelerated development.
The Anambra West Mayor who urged the youths to shun acts capable of bringing disunity, anarchy and total breakdown of law and order, appealed for total support and cooperation from both the elders and youths of the two communities.
He assured that the administration of Prof. Chukwuma Soludo was desirous of maintaining peace across all Anambra communities so as to ensure that accelerated development is achieved.
Mr. Ikechi, therefore, reiterated his administration’s commitment toward enshrining peace and unity in order to attract meaningful development to the communities.
Earlier in his speech, the President General (PG) of Igbedor Community, Mr. Francis Eguda thanked the Mayor for taking such step, which he said was a right move in the right direction toward ensuring unity and progress in Anambra West.
He promised to work and support his administration toward achieving unprecedented development in Anambra West.
Responding, the youth leaders of both communities, Mr. Julius Egwudah and Mr. Chinasa Amedu pledged their support and cooperation to the TCC, promising to work for peace, unity and progress of Anambra West.
