TCC Orumba South Receives a Recognition Award

The Transition Committee Chairman, Orumba South Local Government Area (LGA), Prince SN Uchendu has received an award of recognition for his support to the Ogboji Town Union, Onitsha Branch and for his other numerous achievements for Ogboji Community.

The award was presented to him by the Chairman, Ogboji Town Union, Onitsha branch, Nze Nuel Nwosu at People’s Club Nkpor during their annual end of the year party/investiture.

Prince Uchendu while receiving the award commended the Executive and the entire members of Ogboji Town Union, Onitsha branch for finding him worthy for the award.

Prince Uchendu said: “Personally, I am very honoured to have received this recognition award today. I thank the Ogboji Town Union, Onitsha branch for this recognition; it is a call to do more. We must acknowledge visible progress and support our Communities as much as we can as individuals”.

He described the award as a significant one to him in view of the fact that the award would nudge him to further serve not only the people of Ogboji but also the entire good people of Orumba South LGA.

The TC Chairman urged them to continue to support the government of Prof. Charles Soludo who is redefining governance.

“Gov. Soludo is proffering solution to most of our challenges, and he has started with the flag off of the construction of Ezira-Umuomaka-Enugwu Umuonyia-Achina road, award of contract for the construction of Achina-Onne-Ogboji road, sighting of an International Pharmaceutical Hub in Ogboji, others.”

In his address, Nze Nwosu, Chairman Ogboji Town Union, Onitsha Branch commended Prince Uchendu for accepting the award and honouring them with his presence.

He lauded the Governor of Anambra State for finding a worthy son of Ogboji to such an exalted position of trust.

Nze Noel said that the occasion of the end of the year party was an opportunity for the Union to thank God for the passing year and to equally recognize sons and daughters of Ogboji Town who have distinguished themselves in the service of the Union and humanity in general.
