The Chairman, Anambra North Council of Traditional Rulers, Igwe Ben Emeka of Umueri has promised that his council is ready to proffer solutions where it is needed so as to better the lives of people.
He gave the advice to the new Transition Committee Chairmen of Anambra East Local Government Area, Dr. Anselem Onuorah and his Onitsha South counterpart, Mr. Emeka Orji during the monthly meeting of Anambra North Council of Traditional Rulers in his palace at Umueri.
Igwe Emeka also told the Chairmen to be security conscious which is top on the agenda of Gov. Chukwuma Soludo’s agenda and to always report their official difficulties to the traditional Igwe Council.
While commenting on workers attitude to work at the various Secretariats the Traditional Ruler told the Chairmen to report workers that are not regular and punctual to work saying that indolence if not checked will kill the local government system.’’
He briefed the Chairmen on the efforts of the state council to make sure that there is local government autonomy.
Anambra East Committee Chairman, Dr. Onuorah thanked the traditional rulers and promised to work diligently with them.
He pleaded with them to always make sure that their communities participated in the end of month clean-up exercise in order to make Anambra a waste free state.
The TC Chairman, Onitsha South LGA, Mr. Orji thanked the traditional rulers and promised to be dedicated to his duties. (MOI)
