Uncle Joe “If any presidential aspirant is dreaming of winning presidential elections in 2027 I will advise that candidate to perish the thought till 2031. PBAT is destined to remain in the seat of power till 2031. He needs 8 yrs to set the records straight.”
My reply: Uncle Joe clearly contradicts himself. On the one hand, he pretends to advocate for an Igbo presidency, yet on the other hand, he confidently asserts that PBAT (President Bola Ahmed Tinubu) will remain in power until 2031. This claim reveals an insincerity and hypocrisy in his so-called support for the Igbo presidency.
If the writer truly wants an Igbo person to ascend to the presidency, how does supporting an 8-year tenure for Tinubu corresponds with that vision? Worse still, if the North were to reclaim power after Tinubu’s tenure and hold it for another 8 years – as often happens in the context of regional power balancing in Nigeria – how realistic would it be to expect an Igbo presidency? How old would even Uncle Joe be in 2039?
Very soon after eating “Amala and ewedu”, he would start preaching to us how Igbos do not strategize. Have you seen his own strategy here?
