The Anambra State Ministry of Youth Development has held a one-day value reorientation workshop for master trainers in readiness for the takeoff of the second phase of the ‘One Youth Two Skills Solution’ program.
The Commissioner for Youth Development, Patrick Agha Mba declared the workshop open at the International Convention Center, ICC, Awka.
Addressing the master trainers, Mr Agha Mba said that the value reorientation workshop was to further equip them with necessary skills that will enhance their standards off operation during the training program.
He informed that his ministry is taking very thorough steps in monitoring the operation of the training program and enjoined the master trainers to show commitment in order to realise the objectives of ‘One Youth Two Skills Solution’.
The Commissioner commended the Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo for his determination and commitment toward developing the youths of the state, adding that the program would take Anambra to a higher level in the nearest future.
In his remarks, the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor, Chief Chinedu Nwoye congratulated the master trainers for scaling through the selection processes and reminded them that it is an opportunity to impact on the lives of the trainees and be part of the solution team.
He called on the master trainers to apply high standards of teaching methods and man-management techniques so as to achieve the purpose of the program.
Earlier in her remarks, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Innovation and Business Incubation, Ms Chinwe Okoli addressed the audience, explaining that the master trainers are the instrument that will deliver the import of the program and congratulated them for being among the selected candidates.
Similarly, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftancy Affairs, Collins Nwanbuwanne, who is also a farmer, addressed the master trainers on the essence of dedication in business, the trainers to learn how to grow a small business into a big one.
The master trainers were given training on geomapping of training locations, attendance registration and performance evaluation strategies. They were provided with some branded kits for identification.
In attendance include the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Engr. Martin Agbili, Director Youth Development, Mrs Chito Osili, Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth Development, Engr. Tony Omatah, Executive Assistant to the Governor on Youth, Mr. Chibuzor Udeh, and media technical team, Chairman, Sir Chuka Nnabuife.
